PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN DISCOVERY LEARNING PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPAS UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS V SD

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students by using the discovery learning model in science learning. This study used 2 cycles. The results of the reflection conducted showed that fifth grade elementary school students still had poor science exam scores, especially the percentage of students with scores above the KKM was only 38.10%. After the first cycle of Classroom Action Research, students' scores above the KKM increased to 57.14%; after the second cycle, which focused on implementing learning improvements, students' scores increased further, reaching 90.84%, exceeding the KKM. Fifth grade elementary school students can benefit from the Discovery Learning model which emphasizes active learning to better understand human digestion.
