Abstract

Background. This research is motivated by improving the gross motor skills of early childhood through traditional games (Engklek) at Tk Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Ranting Selatpanjang Timur, Tebing Tinggi District, Meranti Islands Regency. In Gross Motor Learners have not shown maximum results in performing Gross Motor movements loudly and precisely.

Research Method. This type of research is a pseudo-experiment, namely increasing the gross motor of early childhood through traditional games (Engklek) at Tk Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Ranting Selatpanjang Timur Tebing Tinggi District, Meranti Islands Regency.

Research Subjects. Samples were taken 26 boys of Early Childhood at Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Ranting Selat Panjang Timur Kindergarten, Tebing Tinggi District, Meranti Islands Regency.

Results. The results of the study concluded that there was an increase in the Gross Motor of Early Childhood through Traditional Games (Engklek) at Tk Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Ranting East Selatpanjang District Tebing Tinggi Meranti Islands Regency, where the initial test with an average of 15.12 in the pre-test increased by 11.11 to 26.23 in the post-test. with the results (tcount 23.562> ttable 1.72).
