Abstract

Putera Aisyiyah Orphanage plays an important role in providing education and care for orphans and abandoned children, with the responsibility of not only meeting basic needs but also forming their independent character. This study aims to examine the implementation of independent character in the orphanage, including programs that support children's independence, the role of caregivers, and the challenges faced in the process. It is hoped that the results of this study can provide theoretical contributions regarding the formation of independent character as well as practical for orphanage managers in designing effective programs to support the development of independent character in foster children, so that they can live their lives with confidence and responsibility in the future.
