Abstract

Science learning is a learning that is able to involve students in gaining direct, contextual experience and understanding of students, can discover for themselves various concepts thoroughly related to science subjects. One of the media that can be used in providing science learning material is video media. Learning video media is a media or tool that contains learning messages. The use of learning video media is very much in demand by students because learning videos are easier for students to understand. The purpose of this study was to analyze the use of video media in science subjects for gifted students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah. The type of research used by researchers is a type of qualitative descriptive research. The results of the study show that the use of videos in natural science learning subjects for gifted students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah is very effective. This can be seen when the teacher gives a video about the solar system to students, students find it easier to understand and understand the contents in the video so that this will make it easier for the teacher to carry out the learning process. Therefore the use of learning videos is very suitable for use in supporting students to learning material, especially in science subjects.
