THE INFLUENCE OF LIQUIDITY, LEVERAGE, COMPANY SIZE, AND COMPANY AGE ON PROFITABILITY IN MINING COMPANIES LISTED ON THE IDX

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of liquidity, leverage, firm size, and firm age on profitability in mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The population used in this study are mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2019-2021 period. Data collection techniques in the research were conducted using documentation data with the sampling method, namely the purposive sampling method. The research samples were thirteen companies for three years, so the number of observations was 39. The data used in the research was secondary data. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear analysis techniques. The results showed that liquidity had no significant positive effect on profitability, leverage had a significant negative effect on profitability, while firm size and firm age had no significant negative effect on profitability.
