SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING AND GOOGLE SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION TO DEVELOP MARKETING PERFORMANCE FOR STARTER ENTREPRENEURS
Abstract
The large number of social media users, especially entrepreneurs, has made the competition even tougher, so there is a need for a special strategy to win business competition on social media. The purpose of this study is to find out strategies for how to attract potential buyers (customers) by maximizing the SEO and social media functions of MSMEs in the Kendal district. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative with in-depth interviews with informants who are IT or digital marketing professionals. The results of the study show that the strategy used is SEM (Search Engine Marketing) with the target of how to dominate Google search on the first page. There are several stages in achieving targets in using digital marketing, so don't just create accounts on social media. There are specific ways to optimize the use of digital marketing. Good knowledge and a solid team are the keys to success in implementing marketing through digital marketing.
