GENERATION Z's PERCEPTION OF CYBER SECURITY IN THE DIGITAL ECONOMIC ECOSYSTEM
Abstract
Generation Z has become part of technological development, where their daily activities intersect with technology. The potential risk in the form of threats that attack cyber security is a new problem. The purpose of this research is to look at Generation Z's perception of cyber security in supporting the digital economy ecosystem in which there are on demand service activities, financial technology, and e-commerce using Protection Motivation Theory. The method used is quantitative research method, with SPSS.25 analysis test tool. Based on the test results that have been carried out, the results show that the protection motivation theory in which has threat appraisal variables and copping appraisal variables has a significant effect on cyber security. Furthermore, based on the determination test, the results show that the influence generated from the two variables is only 39.2%, while there are still around 60.8% of other variables that can affect Generation Z's perception of cyber security.
