THE INFLUENCE OF CONTINGENCY LEADERSHIP ON THE PRODUCTIVITY OF PERMANENT PRIVATE LECTURERS IS MEDIATED BY COMPENSATION
Abstract
This literature study comprehensively examines previous research regarding the influence of contingency leadership on the productivity of permanent lecturers at private universities (PTS), with compensation as a mediating variable. This systematic review includes scholarly articles published in the last decade, focusing on leadership dynamics in higher education institutions. The search methodology involved major academic databases, using relevant keywords to identify related empirical studies. The results of the study show that contingency leadership has a significant impact on lecturer productivity, with compensation acting as an important mediator in this relationship. These findings emphasize the importance of adaptive leadership approaches and effective compensation systems in improving academic performance. Gaps in the literature were also identified, especially regarding the specific context of PTS in different geographic regions. This study provides a strong theoretical foundation for further research and highlights practical implications for policy makers in higher education institutions in efforts to increase lecturer productivity through appropriate leadership approaches and effective compensation strategies.
