Abstract

Current study aims to explore the crucial determinants that can affect employee performance levels. This research was conducted through a quantitative approach by taking the research location at BPD Bali Capem Abiansemal. The target population includes all employees at BPD Bali Capem Abiansemal, where a total of 31 research samples were obtained. Empirical data was collected through an online questionnaire and then analyzed through the Structural Equation Model approach with SmartPLS 3.2.9. The findings confirm that performance can be improved by creating a conducive work environment so as to support employees in completing their work. Furthermore, optimal performance can be generated through a high level of motivation in employees, especially in carrying out their responsibilities. Research findings also reveal that work ability is the most important component of performance compared to environmental and motivational aspects. An interesting finding in this study is the role of work ability which is able to partially mediate the relationship between constructs. This study is able to make a positive contribution to the human resource management literature. The implication that can be given is the importance of always improving the comfort of the work environment and encouraging the level of employee motivation through the provision of rewards. Furthermore, it is important to always maximize employee capabilities through providing training to education to improve employee skills and knowledge.
