Abstract

The dynamics and growth of the regional economy, which is primarily dependent on the operations of small and medium-sized businesses, have a significant impact on the expansion of the national economy. This influence is significant. Micro, small, and medium-sized businesses (often abbreviated as MSMEs) are essential to the growth of the economy on both the local and national levels. The micro, small, and medium-sized enterprise sector is a robust business sector that may thrive even during times of economic instability. In this study, a descriptive analysis approach was used with a qualitative research strategy. The population of MSMEs in Sumbawa Regency was the focus of this study, and the sample size was set at 100 out of a total of 1,009 existent MSMEs. These businesses were separated into their respective categories based on the sort of MSMEs they were. Interviews were used as the means for collecting data, and logical deduction and comparison of different theories regarding the issue served as the methods for analyzing the collected information. The results of the study indicate that the emergence of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Sumbawa Regency has the potential to be a driving force for regional economic growth and has a beneficial influence on employment in Sumbawa Regency's efforts to decrease poverty.
