Abstract
Efforts to improve student learning outcomes on the position of the point against the line material with discovery learning in class XII MIPA. 1 MAN Karimun odd semester academic year 2022/2023. This study aims to test the application of
discovery learning method to improve the leraning outcomes of grade XII MIPA.1 MAN Karimun students in the Compulsory Mathematics maple the odd semester of 2022/2023. This research belongs the type of classroom action research concerning the kemmis and McTaggard models. With procedures of planning, execution, evaluation, and reflection. Research methodology by taking place in class XII MIPA.1 MAN Karimun as many as 20 students (11 female and 9 male). This class action research uses 2 cycles, each cycle consists of 2 meetings. The results of the data analysis of cycle 1 of the first meeting resulted in an average score of 70.5. the results of the data analysis of cycle 1 of the second meeting resulted in an average score of 75.4. The results of the data analysis of the first 2nd cycle meeting resulted in an average score of 77.4 in cycle 2 the second meeting resulted in an average score of 78.2. In conclusion, using the discovery learning method turned out to be able to improve the learning outcomes of compulsory Mathematics material point position against space in class XII MIPA.1 odd semester MAN Karimun academic year 2022/2023.
