Abstract

The research aims to explore the diverse effects of defense policy on border regions and propose actionable policy recommendations to ensure the welfare of border populations. This study uses qualitative research to analyze defense policies' impact on border region security, socio-economic conditions, and political governance, utilizing secondary data and document analysis. The research uncovers the direct influence of defense policy on border security through military deployments and response strategies. It also elucidates the socio-economic and political implications of defense policy, including resource allocation, human rights concerns, and diplomatic relations. Additionally, the study provides policy recommendations that emphasize balancing security and development, mitigating militarization, promoting cross-border cooperation, and empowering local governance structures.This research underscores the critical need for policymakers to consider the multifaceted effects of defense policies on border area populations. By aligning defense policy objectives with the well-being of these communities, nations can enhance both their security and governance, contributing to regional stability and prosperity.
